BEHAVIOUR
Welcome to the website of the Federation of St Alphege Church of England Schools in Solihull. Our Federation comprises of St Alphege C of E Infant and Nursery School and St Alphege C of E Junior School. Our Christian School Vision is central to all we do.
At the heart of our vision is how we value children. We seek to welcome and cherish every child. All staff are child centred and willing to go the extra mile for everyone at our schools. We aim to ensure that every individual feels valued and loved by God. Above all the central purpose of our Christian schools is to enable the children to come close to God and learn about Him. In essence to experience ‘life in all its fullness.’
We aim to be inclusive and adaptable in both our practice and provision. An important way in which we do this is to make the curriculum and God accessible to all. To further help us in this we seek to see the school through the eyes of a child and in all matters ask how this will impact upon them.
Our vision also refers to the Kingdom of Heaven. This is a phrase that is often interpreted as God’s will or His plan for how people should live on earth. In simple terms it is how we live out our Christian faith and values, how we act and think. We believe in school this is about how we teach and model Christian faith to the children.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our website. It is a privilege to lead both schools and see each day the amazing things the children and staff are doing and learning.
Either school office is happy to answer any queries you might have about us or facilitate a visit.

Pupils are strongly encouraged to wear uniform which we feel adds a sense of identity to the school. The uniforms can be ordered from Monkhouse from the 2nd August.

Special Educational Needs
The Schools of St Alphege are inclusive schools and we are proud of the diversity within our school community. Within the collaborative there is expertise and training of staff in relation to SEND pupils.
Miss Stanion, our SENDCo, has obtained the accredited ‘National Award for SEND Co-ordination.
You can contact her via the school offices on 0121 705 0443 (Infants) or 0121 704 2714 (Juniors), alternatively you can email officeinf@stalphege.solihull.sch.uk

We value our partnership with parents. Termly reviews for SEND Support Children and statemented/EHCP pupils occur with the SENDCo. Those at “Class Support” meet with the class teacher to discuss targets.
Where appropriate staff of both schools within the Federation signpost parents to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIAS).
