Nursery and Reception Admissions

If you would like to apply for a Nursery place starting in September 2024 you should apply directly to the school using the Nursery Application Form below. Applications will be accepted between 1 September 2023 and 1 December 2023. Offers will be made by 31 January 2024. It is possible to apply after this date, but you will only be offered a place if there are spaces available, otherwise you will be put on our waiting list.

Children born between 1 September 2018 – 31st August 2019 start full time school in September 2024. If you would like to apply for a Reception place at St Alphege C of E Infant School, this needs to be done through Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council admissions. You can use the link below to apply.

Appeals

If you are not offered a place at this school, you have the right of appeal against the decision not to allocate a place to your child.  Appeals are heard by an independent panel. You can get an appeal form from the Infant School Office on 0121 704 0443 or 80office@stalphege.solihull.sch.uk or the Junior School Office on 0121 704 2714 or 81office@stalphege.solihull.sch.uk as appropriate.

The appeals timetable is available:Appeals Timetable

Appeals received after the closing date will be heard within the schedule, if possible.

However, if the form is received in late June the appeal may not be heard until after the school summer holidays.  Appeals are not heard during the school holidays.

Admissions for other Year Groups

If you have a child in education who requires a school place during the school year (moving to a new area, change of circumstances etc), parents will need to contact the Solihull School Admissions Team on 0121 704 6693. They can advise you of schools in the area with spaces available or add you on to our waiting list. You will also need to complete a Supplementary Information Form if you wish to apply under the oversubscription criteria relating to Church attendance.
