School Day
We understand the importance of providing clear information about our school timings to ensure a smooth and organised start and end to each school day. Below are the details for the various sections of our school:
Nursery:
- Nursery Timings
- Morning Session: 8.45am – 11.45am (15 funded hours per week).
- Full Day: 8.45am – 2.45pm (30 funded hours, if eligible, or 15 funded hours + paid afternoon sessions). There is the option to stay until the end of the school day, which is 3.25pm, for a small additional charge.
Lunch
- Government funding does not cover the cost of meals. Families are welcome to provide a packed lunch or purchase a hot school meal (£3 per day).
Funding Options
- All 3–4 year olds are entitled to 15 funded hours (mornings only).
- Eligible families may claim 30 funded hours (full days). Parents must apply through the government’s 30 hours childcare scheme and provide an eligibility code. This is taken as 8.45am – 2.45pm, with the option to stay until 3.25pm (funded at £4.50).
- Families not eligible for 30 hours may choose to pay for afternoon sessions at £18 per day.
Infants:
- School doors open at 8:45 am and close promptly at 8:55 am.
- The school day concludes at 3:25 pm, with parents and carers collecting from the playground.
- For a child arriving at 8:55, this totals to 32.5 hours of schooling a week.
Juniors:
- School gates open at 8:25 am and close at 8:40 am.
- The school day concludes at 3:10 pm, with parents and carers collecting from the playground.
- For a child arriving at 8:40, this totals to 32.5 hours of schooling a week.
Important Note:
- The school day for Juniors finishes before the Infant and Nursery School at 3:10 pm.
