World Book Day

On Thursday 2^nd March we are celebrating World Book Day. This year, we are not dressing up as book characters, but instead would like children to decorate a potato as a book character. Last year we did this for the first time and it was a great success. The potatoes can be any size (though baked potatoes are best) and they should be washed before decorating. (You can Google ‘World Book Day potatoes’ to get ideas if needed). Children can create a diorama or stand from card to surround or support their potatoes if they wish to. The potatoes will be displayed in classrooms and there will be certificates awarded for the best dressed potatoes in each class. We look forward to seeing what the children create!
