About St Alphege

Welcome to St Alphege

Welcome to the website of the Federation of St Alphege Church of England Schools in Solihull. Our Federation comprises of St Alphege C of E Infant and Nursery School and St Alphege C of E Junior School.  Our Christian School Vision is central to all we do.

At the heart of our vision is how we value children. We seek to welcome and cherish every child.  All staff are child centred and willing to go the extra mile for everyone at our schools.  We aim to ensure that every individual feels valued and loved by God. Above all the central purpose of our Christian schools is to enable the children to come close to God and learn about Him.  In essence to experience ‘life in all its fullness.’

We aim to be inclusive and adaptable in both our practice and provision. An important way in which we do this is to make the curriculum and God accessible to all. To further help us in this we seek to see the school through the eyes of a child and in all matters ask how this will impact upon them.

Our vision also refers to the Kingdom of Heaven. This is a phrase that is often interpreted as God’s will or His plan for how people should live on earth. In simple terms it is how we live out our Christian faith and values, how we act and think. We believe in school this is about how we teach and model Christian faith to the children.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our website.  It is a privilege to lead both schools and see each day the amazing things the children and staff are doing and learning.

Either school office is happy to answer any queries you might have about us or facilitate a visit.

Our Mission Statement

The Christian nature of St Alphege Church of England Schools is central to our philosophy and informs every aspect of the life of our two schools. We are committed to providing a warm, welcoming and enabling environment where our pupils can receive an excellent education and experience ‘life in all its fullness.’

Our Christian values of Love, cooperation, honesty, forgiveness, responsibility and valuing difference focus us, as an inclusive community, to be the best version of ourselves. Our values permeate all areas of school life through learning, religious education, prayer, worship and action.

We value the unique strengths and gifts of the children entrusted to us and strive to provide an excellent education so that, through our teaching, the children may realise their full potential and the love of God.

In partnership with our families, governors and parish, and inspired by our Christian school vision and values, we support and nurture the children of St Alphege. We encourage the children to shine, to have pride in their achievements, to show concern and courageous advocacy for others and contribute to society as responsible citizens.
